Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to oversee surveillance reports across all construction phases, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards for government projects in Springfield, MA. The role requires a strong background in large federal projects and DoD/USACE familiarity.

Responsibilities include evaluating submittals, supporting change orders, and monitoring progress with a focus on schedule adherence and quality control.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of federal construction project experience.
• Experience with large, multimillion-dollar projects; DoD or USACE preferred.
• Experience with RMS 3.0 preferred.
• Experience with three-phase inspection process.
• OSHA and EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Delivers surveillance reports on all phases of construction for compliance with plans and specifications to government personnel.
• Supports investigation and preparation of change orders.
• Develops detailed inspection requirements and control methods.
• Observes construction phases for compliance with schedules, specs, and shop drawings; identifies problems and suggests changes.
• Performs inspections and completes daily site reports including progress, safety, and subcontractor manpower.
• Assists in all phases of the contract modification process.
• Reviews contractor plans and submittals for approval; includes schedules, environmental, safety and quality control programs.
• Monitors progress and flags potential delays to the project team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
