Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced construction inspector to deliver surveillance reports and support contract changes on large federal projects in Devens, MA. The role requires a strong background in safety, schedules, and quality control.

Responsibilities include site inspections, reviewing plans, and coordinating with government personnel. 10+ years' experience and RMS 3.0 knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; construction-related degree preferred.
• 10+ years on large, complex federal construction projects; DoD/USACE preferred.
• Experience with RMS 3.0 and three-phase inspection process.
• Knowledge of OSHA EM 385-1-1 safety standards.
• Experience with reinforced concrete foundations, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and security systems.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes.

Responsibilities

• Delivers surveillance reports on construction compliance for government personnel.
• Supports investigation and preparation of change orders.
• Develops detailed inspection requirements and control methods.
• Observes construction phases for schedules and specs; suggests contract changes.
• Performs daily site inspections and reports progress, safety and manpower.
• Assists in contract modification processes.
• Reviews contractor plans and submittals for approvals.
• Monitors progress and flags potential delays.
