Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector based in Devens, MA, to oversee federal construction projects and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; construction-related degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years on large federal construction projects; DoD/USACE preferred
• Experience using RMS 3.0, three-phase inspection, OSHA/EM 385-1-1 knowledge
• Experience with reinforced concrete foundations, floor slabs, masonry walls, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and security systems
• Experience with relevant construction/building codes

Responsibilities

• Delivers surveillance reports on construction phases for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Supports investigation and preparation of change orders.
• Develops detailed inspection requirements and control methods.
• Observes construction phases for compliance with schedules and shop drawings; identifies problems and suggests changes.
• Performs inspections and completes daily site reports noting progress, safety issues, and subcontractor manpower.
• Assists in all phases of contract modification processes.
• Reviews contractor plans and submittals for approval, including schedules and safety programs.
• Monitors progress and informs project team of potential delays.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma/GED

Construction related degree preferred

10 years of applicable federal construction experience

Experience with RMS 3.0

Three-phase inspection process experience

OSHA and EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual experience

Experience with reinforced concrete foundations, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and security systems

Knowledge of relevant construction/building codes
