You will mentor Claim Representatives, review suspect claims, and partner with underwriting to enhance products.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of legal/regulatory and litigation procedures for Federal Workers Compensation claims.
• Specialist knowledge of Defense Base Act claims preferred.
• Proven experience in settlement evaluation and negotiation.
• Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation.
• Lateral thinking and ability to problem solve and develop new ideas to improve working practices.
• Strong communication, time management, administrative and report-writing skills.

Aufgaben

• Handle and investigate Defense Base Act claims in line with guidance.
• Utilize investigation, claim handling, litigation, and negotiation to secure timely settlements.
• Provide prompt effective customer service to differentiate AIG.
• Maintain regular contact with internal stakeholders, brokers, medical experts, and clients’ lawyers.
• Identify and review suspect/fraudulent claims per guidelines.
• Claims may involve significant reserves and settlements up to $500,000.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to Claim Representatives.
• Collaborate with underwriting to improve products.
