AIG seeks a Claims Examiner in Atlanta to support Federal Workers Compensation claims, applying Defense Base Act expertise and strong analytical skills to resolve complex matters. You will manage indemnity, medical and legal aspects, conduct investigations, negotiate settlements, and provide prompt customer service while upholding AIG's quality standards and commitment to fair, cost-effective outcomes.

Formación

• Knowledge of legal/regulatory and litigation procedures for Workers' Compensation claims.
• Specialist knowledge of Defense Base Act claims is preferred.
• Experience in settlement evaluation and negotiation.
• Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent interpretation.
• Ability to problem solve and improve working practices.
• Strong communication, time management and report-writing skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical expertise in directing and resolving Defense Based Act claims per quality standards.
• Manage indemnity, medical and legal aspects of assigned claims.
• Use investigation, claim handling, litigation and evaluation skills for timely settlements.
• Provide prompt customer service to differentiate AIG.
• Identify and review suspect/fraudulent claims per guidelines.
• Maintain regular contact with internal stakeholders, brokers, experts and counsel.
• Collaborate with underwriting to improve products using gained claims experience.
