Job summary

Vets Hired is seeking a Senior Capture Manager to lead the full federal capture lifecycle from qualification to contract award in DoD and Federal Civilian markets. You will guide capture strategies, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and build partnerships to improve win probability.

Required is a decade of federal capture experience, strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and proven ability to drive teaming and proposal success. Security clearance eligibility and a relevant degree are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of federal capture management experience supporting DoD and/or Federal Civilian agencies.
• Proven experience leading opportunities from qualification through contract award.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, federal acquisition processes, and proposal development.
• Experience developing teaming strategies and managing partner relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete federal capture lifecycle for strategic opportunities.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align capture activities with business growth objectives.
• Develop and execute capture plans, win strategies, competitive assessments, and customer engagement plans.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate teaming agreements with subcontractors and strategic partners.
• Coordinate activities across solution architects, operations, recruiting, contracts, pricing, and proposal teams.
• Support proposal development, including win themes, solution strategies, color team reviews, and executive presentations.
• Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, and procurement analysis.
• Track pursuit readiness, milestones, risks, and action items throughout the capture process.
• Analyze acquisition strategies, procurement trends, customer priorities, and emerging technologies.
• Present capture strategies and business recommendations to executive leadership.
