Job summary

Modern Family Law, a national family law firm, is hiring a Family Law Paralegal for its Colorado Springs, CO office to support divorce, custody, and related matters. You will manage your own caseload, draft filings, and maintain client relationships with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

The role is remote-first with in-person court and client interactions as needed. A tech stack including NetDocuments, Salesforce, TimeSolv, and Microsoft 365 supports daily work.

Qualifications

• Family law experience required; ability to draft clearly and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with e-filing in county court systems.
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a law firm.
• Ability to capture billable work accurately with client-friendly narratives.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of family law matters from hire through resolution with attorneys.
• Draft and prepare filings that move matters forward; e-file with court systems and track status.
• Own deadlines; calendars and filing dates are managed by you.
• Speak with clients; answer questions and follow up proactively.
• Keep matters organized and current so any team member can locate files easily.
• Collaborate with attorneys as a proactive colleague rather than via email-only.
