Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Factory Director Senior Leader to oversee all aspects of the Distribution Transformer plant operations in South Boston, VA, including production, quality, safety, and logistics.

You will lead lean initiatives, manage SIOP and ITM interfaces, build high-performing teams, ensure compliance, and drive cost reductions while upholding Hitachi Energy's values of safety and integrity.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of manufacturing management experience.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive engagement, and achieve high performance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall manufacturing operations and the SIOP process.
• Implement continuous improvement methodologies and lean principles.
• Develop programs and metrics to optimize performance and working capital.
• Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing teams and future leaders.
• Provide a safe and healthy work environment complying with regulations.
• Collaborate with ITM team to integrate lean principles into production.
• Address challenges, backfill key positions, and mentor leaders.
