Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Factory Director Senior Leader to oversee operations of the Distribution Transformer plant in South Boston, VA. You will direct production, quality, logistics and continuous improvement initiatives to drive performance and customer focus.

You will lead staff, nurture talent, and partner with ITM to embed lean practices, ensuring safety and ethical standards across all operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing management.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire teams and achieve high performance.
• Excellent English communication skills at all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall manufacturing operations, including staff and SIOP process.
• Implement continuous improvement methodologies and lean principles.
• Develop programs and metrics to optimize performance and working capital.
• Recruit, retain and develop high-performing teams and future leaders.
• Provide a safe work environment and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with ITM team to integrate lean principles into production.
