Job summary

The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey seeks a Deputy General Manager for the World Trade Center campus to lead facility operations, maintenance, and asset management across a 16-acre site. You will manage staff, contractors, and major projects, ensuring facilities meet Class A standards and operate safely and reliably.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Project Management or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing projects, facilities, programs, or initiatives related to infrastructure or maintenance
• Valid driver's license required

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and manage employees and contractors responsible for facility operations and maintenance.
• Oversee the site-wide property management agreement and related subcontractors.
• Direct maintenance and asset-management programs across structural, electrical, mechanical, vertical transportation, security infrastructure, flood protection, and other critical systems.
• Oversee Maximo usage including documentation, reporting, and preventive/corrective maintenance activities.
• Manage inspections, deficiency resolution, and immediate repairs for critical systems in coordination with QA and partners.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response activities including hurricane and flood-mitigation planning.
• Plan and manage operating, maintenance, and project budgets; prioritize needs for delivery via contractors or capital programs.
• Oversee facility service contracts, purchase orders, and contractor performance; review scopes, schedules, budgets, invoices.
• Coordinate project identification, prioritization, and execution with various divisions and stakeholders.
• Serve as senior liaison with tenants and external agencies to balance interests and achieve outcomes.
