Job summary

MTA Bridges and Tunnels is seeking a Director of Facility Management (Off-Hours) to oversee 24/7 operations and maintenance at multiple facilities in New York City. You will coordinate staffing, safety, and customer service while ensuring rapid incident response and reliable facility performance.

The role reports to the Assistant Vice President of Facility Management and requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and experience managing diverse teams across complex transportation assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, transportation, systems, technology, project or facility management.
• Minimum 10 years in facility management or related operations environments.
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role in a large organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage 24/7 facility operations and maintenance across one or more sites.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, and training for operations and maintenance teams.
• Coordinate with OCC, C&D, and other departments to ensure safe, reliable travel corridors.
• Respond to emergencies with rapid mitigation and effective recovery.
• Oversee timekeeping, leave, and performance with contractors and staff.
