Job summary

New York City Economic Development Corporation is seeking an Associate to support operations management of City-owned properties within the Asset Management portfolio, including the Teleport Campus in Staten Island and other properties.

The role requires coordinating on-site staff, safety compliance, budget monitoring, contract administration, and 24/7 on-call availability to ensure reliable, efficient service delivery across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in facilities management, business, or related field.
• At least 1 year of building management, facilities maintenance, or related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to be on-call 24/7.
• New York City residency within 180 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Staten Island Teleport campus operations and day-to-day activities.
• Supervise on-site staff and contract workers.
• Develop, implement, and maintain field staff inspection schedules.
• Log, track, and maintain work orders and service records.
• Assist with annual property budgeting and long-term capital planning.
• Monitor campus expenditures and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with tenants and operators to resolve service issues.
• Respond to emergencies; 24/7 on-call availability.
