Job summary

New York City Economic Development Corporation seeks an Associate to support the operations management of City-owned properties within the Asset Management portfolio, including the Teleport Campus in Staten Island and other properties as assigned. The role emphasizes coordinating campus operations, safety, and asset operability to align with long-term plans.

The successful candidate will assist with field staff coordination, inspections, work-order documentation, and budget-related activities,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management or equivalent.
• 1+ year of building management, facilities maintenance, or related experience.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Support Campus Director in Staten Island Teleport campus operations and safety compliance.
• Manage on-site field staff and contractors, including visits and repairs coordination.
• Develop and maintain periodic inspection schedules for field staff.
• Log and track work orders; ensure records are current for follow-up.
• Assist with budget planning and contract administration across the portfolio.
