Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Maintenance Specialist IV at the Richmond State Supported Living Center. This senior role performs advanced restoration, renovation, and building maintenance across trades, ensuring safe, reliable campus operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or relevant work experience in maintenance repairs.
• Vocational training in a designated trade is preferred.
• Knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and codes.
• Ability to supervise, plan preventive maintenance and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Attends work regularly and may follow a specific or rotating shift.
• Performs inspections, maintenance and repair on building systems (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.).
• Establishes work schedules, assigns staff and oversees renovations or repairs.
• Processes paperwork for work orders, projects and material requisitions.
