Job summary

BG Staffing, Inc. seeks a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair building systems, execute preventive maintenance, and oversee contractor work across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and controls.

You will inspect common areas, manage parts inventory, and participate in on-call rotations while adhering to safety standards. EPA certification and related licenses are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial facilities maintenance experience or a related trade.
• EPA Certification and active electrical/plumbing/mechanical licenses or equivalent training preferred; high school diploma required.
• Strong knowledge of building mechanical blueprints and safety procedures.
• Experience with digital work order systems.
• Effective communication and ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & repair of commercial building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, and controls.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on mechanical rooms and facilities.
• Coordinate and inspect work by external contractors to ensure standards and budget adherence.
• Respond to and resolve customer work orders with clear explanations of solutions.
• Conduct routine inspections of common areas, parking structures, and building envelopes for hazards and aesthetics.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
