Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and steam systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and read diagrams/technical manuals for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of utility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, steam) within a life science facility.
• Calibration and regular adjustment of system controls for energy efficiency.
• Troubleshooting and resolving operational issues related to utility systems.
• Responding to service calls and requests related to utility system issues.
• Collaborating with other tradespeople, suppliers, and inspectors for code compliance.
• Staying updated on safety standards and codes.
• Communicating work status to facility manager and team members.
• Completing work per SOPs and work instructions.
