Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Senior Technician, Facilities to maintain and operate building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and lighting, while ensuring safety and reliability across our facilities. You will work in a team to deliver preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues and respond to emergencies to keep environments safe and comfortable.

The role requires a high school diploma, 4+ years of related experience and industry trade certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Industry trade certifications strongly preferred.
• At least four years of proven related work experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC, life safety systems, motor controls, and building codes.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Uses advanced skills to perform maintenance service and repairs in a specialized technical and skilled trade for Nationwide facilities.
• Ensures maximum operational efficiency of facilities and equipment, as well as grounds and support equipment.
• Ensures all systems, including utility infrastructure, are fully operational and inspected according to accepted standards and practices, including preventive maintenance schedules.
• Develops and implements preventive maintenance, repair programs and procedures for structural, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing and/or refrigeration systems for the Nationwide facilities.
• May act as a source of direction for training and guidance of less experienced staff.
• Responds to customer service requests and responds to all maintenance, fire systems and emergency calls.
• Remains familiar with, and follows, all federal, state and local safety and environmental laws and regulations.
