Job description

The Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building systems and infrastructure across our facilities in the United States. This position is responsible for performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. The technician will collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Operations and other facilities team members to identify maintenance needs and implement solutions that comply with safety regulations and company standards. By proactively addressing maintenance issues, the technician helps create a safe and comfortable environment for all building occupants. Ultimately, this role supports the organization's operational continuity and contributes to cost‑effective facility management through skilled technical expertise and problem‑solving abilities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role within facilities management.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work from an elevated position.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical certification or associate degree in facilities maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or related field.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and compliance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Responsibilities
