Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a General Superintendent for Facilities to direct maintenance and repair of assets across NYC Transit facilities. You will oversee multiple trades, drive safety, and ensure continuous operations while coordinating with the Assistant Vice President, Facilities.

Requires a Bachelor’s in engineering/architecture/operations management or equivalent, with 8 years’ experience including 5 in management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum eight years of full-time related experience with >=5 years in a supervisory role.
• Equivalent education/experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Direct maintenance and repair of assets in facilities for NYC Transit stations and facilities.
• Manage building trades in maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation operations.
• Ensure safety and uninterrupted right-of-way operations.
• Respond to system emergencies and guide teams under pressure.
