Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a Superintendent, Facilities to oversee maintenance, construction, and operations across NYC Transit stations and facilities. The role directs multi-trade teams to coordinate repairs, inspections, and rehabilitation of structural, electrical, plumbing, and architectural systems to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The incumbent will lead maintenance and rehabilitation efforts, address nonconformities, and coordinate with other managers to enforce

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 5 years related experience, incl. 3 in supervision.
• Experience in station maintenance and operating procedures.
• Knowledge of MTA NYCT rules and regulations.
• Construction trade, project management, and maintenance management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in EAM/Infor and Microsoft Outlook 365 applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural and/or lighting maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation operations affecting station integrity.
• Correct nonconformities and complete outstanding work orders, across electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural elements.
• Lead initiatives to improve operations, structural integrity, electrical function, and cosmetic appearance of stations and employee facilities.
• Collaborate with managers inside and outside the division to ensure safety protocols and oversee maintenance shop administration.
