Job summary

Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission seeks a Facilities Operations Manager to lead eight buildings on a 36 acre campus in Burien and oversee regional campuses statewide. You will direct custodial services, maintenance, environmental and waste management, and safety systems to ensure a safe, compliant environment for staff and trainees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in construction management or related field.
• Ten years of senior level management experience in facilities/capital projects.
• Five years of supervisory experience in dynamic operational settings.
• Strong communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, safety systems, and facilities operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and facilities management of eight buildings on a 36 acre campus and oversee regional campus standards.
• Manage custodial services, grounds maintenance, hazardous waste, energy conservation, and safety systems.
• Mentor staff, supervise contractors, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Develop and manage capital projects, budgets, and procurement with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Support emergency response planning and interagency coordination.

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Project Management, or a related field
