Job summary

Intel Corporation in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking an experienced Facilities Mechanical Engineer to ensure the reliability and availability of critical mechanical and HVAC systems supporting manufacturing, clean rooms, and R&D. This on-site role focuses on design, analysis, and proactive maintenance to sustain uptime and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience
• PhD in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability and maintenance of mechanical and HVAC systems (chilled water plants, boilers, clean room equipment).
• Design, analyze, and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
• Develop scopes of work for mechanical projects and conduct design reviews.
• Collaborate with internal customers and operations to implement engineering solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies and oversee prototype fabrication and testing.
• Coordinate with maintenance providers to keep systems within limits.
• Create roadmaps and asset replacement strategies for reliability and capacity.
• Support safety, reliability, and environmental objectives daily.
