Job summary

Boardwalk Pipelines, LP in Houston, TX seeks a Facilities Manager to lead the operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of multiple office facilities. You will partner with internal stakeholders, contractors, and service providers to ensure a safe, efficient work environment and alignment with business continuity goals.

The role requires 7–10 years of facilities leadership experience, strong budget and vendor management skills, and a track record of driving reliability and cost

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial building operations and safety/regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing vendors, and overseeing complex facility operations.
• Strong financial acumen, including budget management, cost analysis, and expense oversight.
• Proven project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across levels.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and exercise sound judgment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with facilities management or work order systems.
• Willingness to travel to Boardwalk office locations and respond to after-hours issues.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily facility operations and maintenance to established standards.
• Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for building systems.
• Oversee facility services including janitorial, landscaping, utilities, and access control.
• Monitor building conditions and address operational concerns to minimize disruptions.
• Establish and maintain facility operating procedures and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, reliability, and service delivery.
• Manage relationships with property management, contractors, and suppliers.
• Oversee vendor selection, cost reviews, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations.
• Monitor compliance with contractual obligations, safety requirements, and policies.
• Develop and manage annual facilities budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses.
• Identify opportunities to optimize facility costs while maintaining quality and safety.
• Lead short and long-term facility planning, space configurations, and project management.
• Ensure safety, security, and business continuity in facility operations.
• Lead and develop facilities team members, provide stakeholder guidance, and communicate status.
