Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Maintenance Technician IV to operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility systems across office, R&D, and GMP manufacturing sites in the Madison area. The position offers a standard on-site schedule with on-call rotation, and emphasizes teamwork, problem solving and ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical, mechanical maintenance or related field; or high school diploma with 2 years of relevant experience.
• 6+ years of experience in building maintenance, construction, or mechanical repair.
• Proficient with hand tools, multi-meters and various test equipment.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, refrigeration and control systems.
• Support automated fill, cap, labeling, conveying and product finishing equipment.
• Enter and manage work orders in the CMMS system and review completed work orders.
• Conduct building inspections and respond to power outages and critical alarms.
• Maintain GMP, OSHA, FDA and USDA compliance and support on-call maintenance.
