Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Maintenance Technician IV to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility systems across office, R&D, and GMP locations. The role covers electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and process equipment, with responsibilities from change-overs to preventive maintenance.

The position requires hands-on expertise, strong documentation, and ability to work nights and weekends on a 12-hour overnight shift. Travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical, mechanical maintenance or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 6+ years of experience in building maintenance, construction, or mechanical repair settings.
• 6+ years of experience operating hand tools, small power tools, multi-meters and various test equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, refrigeration, control systems and equipment across locations.
• Enter and close work orders in CMMS; perform first level review of orders.
• Support automated fill, cap, and labeling equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
