Job summary
Abbott in Madison, WI seeks a Maintenance Technician, Electrician IV to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment, sensors, controls, and industrial processing systems across production, lab, and GMP manufacturing spaces. The role supports automation equipment and requires thorough documentation and adherence to GMP, OSHA, FDA standards.
You will manage spare parts, review work orders in CMMS, perform preventive maintenance, and assist in on-call emergency services.
Qualifications
- Associates degree or diploma in electrical/mechanical maintenance or related field required.
- 7+ years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical systems.
- Experience with AC/DC motor controls, PLCs and wiring up to 480V.
- Experience with hand tools and testing equipment.
- Experience with facility software tools: BAS, CMMS, Visio, etc.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and controls.
- Manage spare parts for the field and oversee facility systems.
- Enter and prioritize work orders in CMMS; review completed orders.
- Perform preventive and demand maintenance with proper documentation.
- Support automated packaging and process systems and restoration after outages.
- Contribute to safety, EHS compliance, and GMP documentation.
