Job summary

Related Affordable is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations across our affordable housing communities. You will oversee preventive maintenance, make-ready tasks for vacant units, and coordination with vendors to ensure safety, cleanliness, and high-quality standards.

A strong focus on resident-centered service and team leadership is essential. The role requires 3+ years in maintenance with supervisory experience, weekend availability, and familiarity with property

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in general maintenance.
• Schedule flexibility including weekends and on-call emergencies.
• 2+ years of direct supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with property management software (Real Page, One Site) preferred.
• Strong skills in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical/appliance repairs.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Affordable housing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in a related trade preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing work orders from resident service requests by diagnosing issues and making repairs.
• Oversee the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections, task lists, scheduling contractors, and ensuring high standards.
• Develop and maintain cleanliness and appearance standards throughout the community.
• Inspect the building and property daily, addressing safety issues.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and respond to emergency repairs after hours.
• Make budget recommendations for maintenance line items to the Community Manager.
• Order and maintain inventory of building materials and supplies.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to obtain bids for repairs and replacements.
• Ensure the upkeep of building common areas and grounds.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
