Job summary

Columbus Alzheimer's Care Center is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance team, ensure a safe, compliant environment, and manage vendor relationships to support excellent resident care.

You will supervise a maintenance staff, read blueprints, oversee boilers and electrical systems, enforce safety standards, and drive continuous facility improvements in line with regulatory guidelines. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of supervisory experience in a maintenance or plant-related role.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and electrical/plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Demonstrated teamwork and ability to act independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the Maintenance Department and its activities.
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Review and revise department policies and job descriptions annually.
• Ensure outside vendors meet contract/work order requirements.
• Maintain safe and healthy working environment per OSHA and regulations.
• Contribute to infection control policies and universal precautions.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are maintained to prevent waste.
• Forecast department needs and assist in budgeting.
• Make budget-conforming adjustments based on monthly statements.
• Report and investigate resident abuse or misappropriation of property.
• Honor residents' treatment refusals and report to supervisor.
• Adhere to HIPAA requirements.
