Job summary

The Carter Center in Atlanta, GA seeks a Senior Facilities Manager to oversee operation, maintenance, and long‑term upkeep of building systems across multiple properties. You will coordinate internal staff and external contractors, supervise maintenance teams, and develop preventive maintenance programs to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include budgeting over $1M, planning capital projects, and serving as the liaison for engineers, vendors, and VIPs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in industrial management, maintenance, or related field.
• Experience supervising maintenance and contractor teams is required.
• Proven ability to plan budgets and coordinate capital projects.

• Manage operation, maintenance, repair, and long‑term upkeep of building systems across multiple properties.
• Coordinate internal staff and external contractors to ensure safe, reliable operations.
• Supervise Maintenance Mechanics, Mail Clerk, and Landscape Crew Leader.
• Develop and enforce preventive maintenance and repair programs.
• Plan projects, review contracts, negotiate change orders, and manage payments.
• Serve as liaison for contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and VIPs.
