Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Engineer to manage facility engineering activities, building drawings, and equipment documentation across offices and labs. You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with vendors, and ensure design changes meet regulatory and safety requirements.

The role emphasizes project leadership, cost effectiveness, and collaboration with HS&E and operations to keep facilities running and compliant. Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Maximo is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or closely related discipline.
• 4+ years of engineering and/or operational experience is desirable.
• Strong technical knowledge with broad problem-solving abilities.
• GMP experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industries is desirable.
• Experience collaborating with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain building drawings database, including equipment manuals and specifications.
• Supervise design work of internal & external consultants and oversee changes with AbbVie team.
• Coordinate with vendors on plans, budgets, schedules, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage engineering, maintenance, and space planning for offices and labs.
• Develop safety programs, conduct risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance.
