Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the operational management of critical building systems in a Memphis, TN site. You will drive reliability-centered maintenance, support capital projects, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance to protect client assets.

You will manage a technical team, oversee vendor activities, and maintain detailed engineering logs and Corrigo CMMS data while delivering high-quality service to clients.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and EPA Universal Certification.
• Minimum 5 years in facility operations or engineering with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety).
• Experience in preventive/corrective maintenance programs in commercial/industrial settings.
• Proficient with CMMS (Corrigo) and MS Office; read technical manuals and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair, and operation of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety).
• Lead engineering staff in daily operations and promote safety and service quality.
• Develop preventive, corrective, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and client requirements.
• Manage contractor activities and coordinate vendor services for facilities.
• Support capital improvement planning and project execution.
• Maintain engineering logs, infrastructure docs, and Corrigo CMMS data.
• Respond to facility issues and after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Prepare project estimates and proposals for site leadership.
