Job summary

QB Energy LLC in Denver seeks a Facilities Engineer III to design, optimize, and reliably operate gas infrastructure across the Piceance Basin. You will lead projects from concept through startup, support regulatory compliance, and drive performance and emissions reduction with minimal supervision.

The role requires 5+ years in oil & gas facilities or midstream engineering, and a PE is preferred. Travel to field sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or related Engineering is required.
• PE preferred; EIT with PE pursuit encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize compression, gathering, pipeline, liquid handling, and production facility infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, and basis-of-design packages.
• Perform hydraulic modeling, equipment sizing, and facility evaluations.
• Lead compressor optimization and methane reduction initiatives.
• Develop conceptual cost estimates and engineering scopes for capital projects.
• Manage engineering and execution of capital projects from concept through startup.
• Support procurement, contractor management, scheduling, budgeting, and project reporting.
• Ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget project delivery.
