Job summary

Western Midstream in Colorado is seeking a Facilities Engineer to support the safe, reliable operation of midstream assets across Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. You will perform asset surveillance, troubleshoot, and drive optimization with Operations, HSSE, and Project Engineering teams.

Experience with process simulation tools and compression modeling is strongly preferred. The role is based in Longmont, with a hybrid schedule and 20–30% travel, supporting multiple basins and sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Process, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years in natural gas processing, gas gathering and compression, and oil processing.
• Knowledge of industry codes, environmental and safety regulations.
• Experience with process safety management (PSM) and data analysis.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Seeq or Pi Vision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor asset performance to optimize throughput, energy use, and emissions.
• Develop and apply process simulation models to evaluate performance and identify improvements.
• Prepare and manage project execution plans and handover to project execution team.
• Execute small brownfield projects and support greenfield/brownfield design and execution.
• Provide engineering support to Operations and the PSM Program.
• Coordinate with engineering vendors/contractors to ensure optimum project execution.
