Job summary

BP plc is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer to support the Permian Midstream organization, including oil and gas processing, saltwater disposal, and pipelines. You will provide daily engineering support to operations, lead risk assessments and design reviews, and manage EPC contractor coordination while driving safe, reliable handovers of midstream equipment and systems.

The role requires 5+ years in oil and gas, a BS in engineering, and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering required.
Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and champion cohesive teamwork.

Responsibilities

Provide daily engineering support to field operations, including field troubleshooting and risk assessments.
Lead and facilitate risk assessments, design reviews, and management of change activities.
Manage EPC contractor relationships and coordination.
Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis efforts to identify failure mechanisms and drive improvements.
Support safe handover of compliant midstream equipment and systems.
