Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Mid-Senior Pipeline and Facilities Design Engineer to support nationwide pipeline and terminal projects from Englewood, CO, Billings, MT, or Casper, WY. The role emphasizes design engineering, client coordination, and field data gathering to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions.

The candidate should have 5–15+ years in the Oil & Gas sector, FE/PE preferences, and strong skills in hydraulic modeling, PFDs/P&IDs, and AutoDesk tools. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in ABET accredited Engineering program (5-15+ years of relevant experience).
• FE exam completed preferred; PE licensure preferred or willingness to attain.
• Experience in midstream Oil & Gas industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.4/B31.8 and CFR 192/195; NACE experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design pipelines, pump stations, and related facilities
• Develop PFDs and P&IDs; create 30%, 60%, 90%, IFC/IFB drawings
• Perform hydraulic calculations and MAOP determinations
• Lead design reviews with internal teams and clients
• Coordinate procurement activities and vendor data
• Support field data collection and as-built updates
• Prepare scope of work and construction bid packages
• Travel up to 25% for data gathering and meetings
