Job summary

JLL is seeking a Facilities Engineer in Latham, NY to lead complex operations across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building automation. This advanced role requires hands-on expertise and the ability to mentor technicians while maintaining critical infrastructure.

You will read drawings, perform preventive maintenance, respond to alarms, and document activities in CMMS. This position offers on-site work with comprehensive benefits and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years of building operations and maintenance experience.
• Hands-on proficiency with electrical systems, HVAC, central plant operations and building automation systems.
• Knowledge of electrical theory, power distribution, motor controls, three-phase systems and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain central plant equipment including chillers, boilers and air handlers.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, pumps, valves, lighting systems and power distribution equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm and related building systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics and equipment schedules.
• Document maintenance activities through CMMS and reports; maintain records.
• Collaborate with property management, security and contractors to coordinate activities.
