Job summary

JLL is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead engineering teams and maintain complex facility systems in a high-tech environment. You will manage critical infrastructure such as boilers, chillers and high‑voltage distribution while partnering with site leadership to ensure reliable operations.

Schedule: M-F, 3 on-site days and 2 remote. Location: Rochester, MN. Visa sponsorship is not provided. Expected compensation ranges from 93,100 to 115,000 USD per year with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities management experience, preferably in high-tech industry.
• Knowledge of HVAC, Mechanical, and Electrical systems including chillers, boilers, and generators.
• Strong documentation and communication skills for reporting and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop your engineering team through goal setting and training.
• Execute maintenance on boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, generators and steam systems.
• Manage the facilities work order system and monitor KPIs.
• Inspect critical equipment and navigate Building Management Systems to resolve issues.
• Create and update standard operating procedures and emergency procedures.
• Coordinate daily operations meetings and liaise with stakeholders and contractors.
• Negotiate bids and ensure contract compliance and procurement policy adherence.
