Job summary

JLL is seeking a Lead HVAC Technician in New York to install, inspect, and service complex HVAC systems across manufacturing and commercial sites. You will lead activities, ensure safe practices, and mentor junior technicians while delivering reliable facility operations and top-tier customer service.

You will work with chillers, DX units, AHU/FCU tech, and building automation systems, coordinating with vendors and facility teams to keep systems performing at peak efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on commercial HVAC maintenance and repair.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC controls and building automation systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, PM and repair HVAC systems serving pharma cleanrooms and commercial buildings.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, cleaning, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform corrective actions.
• Coordinate with technicians, vendors, and facility management teams.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and service reports.
• Respond to emergency service calls and after-hours work as needed.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance.
