Job summary

Family & Children’s Services seeks a Lead Engineer to oversee life safety inspections, operate and maintain chillers, boilers, AHUs, and BAS systems. You will train staff, manage building access, and ensure the building is safe, clean, and compliant for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include coordinating with IT, managing access and elevator systems, and supervising daily facility operations. Must have 2+ years of hands-on plant equipment experience and a strong focus on safety and service.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or have HS equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience operating plant equipment including boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and HVAC systems.
• Experience with facilities management and building operations.
• Proven emergency response capability and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Interact with all departments and tenants to ensure offices function at the highest level.
• Work with IT to establish and maintain electronic building request/response system.
• Maintain BAS systems, troubleshoot HVAC and plant operations, and coordinate repairs with third-party contractors.
• Monitor site safety, security, and elevator/fire safety equipment; ensure compliance with safety policies.
