Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Maintenance Engineer Lead to oversee daily facility maintenance operations, coordinating repairs, preventive maintenance, and vendor activities to keep building systems operating efficiently and in compliance with codes.

You will provide technical leadership, scheduling, and mentorship while participating in hands-on maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of facilities or plant operations experience.
• Experience directing a maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the maintenance team; assign tasks and guide work orders.
• Schedule and coordinate internal and external maintenance, vendor support, and repairs.
• Perform skilled maintenance on electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and utility systems.
• Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in on-call rotation and cover staffing gaps as needed.
