Job summary

Fluor Corporation in Texas is seeking an experienced Facility Operations Manager to lead a 24/7 operations team and keep data center environments running uptime. You will oversee twelve operators, manage the preventive maintenance program, analyze HVAC systems, and coordinate with Ops, O&M and vendors to ensure reliable performance.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree and seven years of related experience, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills; on-call availability

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree in engineering with seven years of related experience.
• Strong communication with diverse audiences including management, clients, vendors, and visitors.
• Knowledge of facility management, system optimization, and data-center environments.

Responsibilities

• Directly managing a 24/7 Operations department.
• Overseeing the Preventive Maintenance program.
• Analyzing existing HVAC systems and optimizing performance.
• Performing root cause analysis and after-action reporting.
• Serving as on-call resource for after-hours issues.
• Developing SOPs/MOPs/EOPs for 24/7 staff coordination.
• Coordinating vendor maintenance contracts and scope with vendors.
• Direct customer coordination on IT room cooling and thermal optimization.
• Reviewing system operation logs and daily rounds for performance trends.
• Providing backup support to the Facility Manager.
