Job summary

Fluor Corporation is seeking a seasoned facilities/MEP operations lead to oversee a 24/7 operations team and manage a range of HVAC and data-center related systems. The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, system optimization, and strong vendor coordination to sustain mission-critical facilities.

The incumbent will analyze and improve cooling plants, review logs, develop SOPs, and act as a backup for the Facility Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight (8) years of work-related experience in engineering, construction, or facility management.
• Ability to read and understand MEP engineering design documents.
• Effective communication and strong computer skills (MS Office, SharePoint).
• Understanding of commercial infrastructure systems and control systems.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and field evaluation of operations.
• Knowledge of building systems operation, maintenance, and project management basics.

Responsibilities

• Directly managing a 24/7 Operations department with twelve Operators and serving as their direct manager.
• Oversee the Preventative Maintenance program for the facility.
• Analyze existing HVAC systems including chilled water and cooling units.
• Perform root cause analysis and submit after-action reports to the customer.
• Serve as on-call resource for after-hours system issues at the facility.
• Assist in developing SOPs/MOPs/EOPs for 24/7 Operations staff.
• Coordinate vendor maintenance contracts, outages, and scope execution.
• Coordinate with customer IT room cooling, chiller optimization, and related tasks.
• Review system operation logs and daily rounds to identify issues.
• Collaborate with Configuration Manager in CMMS for asset documentation and work orders.
• Provide backup support to the Facility Manager when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
