Job summary

Fluor Corporation in Warrenton, VA is seeking an experienced facilities engineer to lead a 24/7 Operations department within a data-center-like environment, overseeing HVAC analysis, PM programs, and coordination with Ops and O&M teams.

You will manage vendor contracts, perform root-cause analyses, develop SOPs/MOPs/EOPs, and serve as on-call resource for after-hours issues. The role requires a four-year engineering degree and about seven years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree in engineering and seven years of work experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and visitors.
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national guidelines.
• Attention to detail and time-conscious work.

Responsibilities

• Directly managing a 24/7 Operations department with twelve building Operators.
• Oversee facility Preventative Maintenance (PM) program.
• Analyze HVAC systems and facility processes for improvements.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of system failures and report outcomes.
• Serve as on-call resource for after-hours issues.
• Develop SOPs/MOPs/EOPs for 24/7 Operations staff.
• Coordinate vendor maintenance contracts and outages.
• Coordinate with customer IT room cooling and chiller optimization efforts.
• Review operation logs and Daily Rounds for performance.
• Support Configuration Management within CMMS for assets and work orders.
• Provide backup support to the Facility Manager.
