Avila University in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Director of Facilities to lead the management and maintenance of buildings, grounds and infrastructure, ensuring safety, efficiency and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strategic planning, budget oversight, and supervision of facilities staff, with a focus on energy management, project oversight and coordination with outside vendors.

Formación

• Minimum of 7 years in a supervisory role.
• Trade Certified preferred with facility management experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, blueprints and schematics.
• Effective communication and people management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct leadership for facilities/housekeeping personnel and oversee maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects and vendors during construction or renovation projects to meet budget and standards.
• Monitor compliance with Federal, State and Local codes and regulations (fire protection, OSHA, ADA, IBC, NEC, EPA, DNR).
• Supervise inspection of facilities and projects (roofs, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs and work orders.
• Assist in energy management planning and budgeting activities.
• Select and develop facilities staff and provide in-service training.
