Job summary
Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a skilled building maintenance technician for a Syracuse, NY data center/critical facility. You will monitor HVAC, electrical, and life-safety systems, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with outside contractors to ensure reliable operations.
The role requires hands-on experience with UPS, CRACs, BAS/PLC controls, and strong troubleshooting skills.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED with two years of trades schooling in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC.
- Ability to analyze operation of various systems, determine causes of malfunctions, and take corrective action.
- Minimum 5+ years related work experience, including supervisory experience; data center/critical facility experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate HVAC, electrical, and life-safety systems in a data center/critical facility.
- Perform preventive maintenance and coordinating with external contractors.
- Respond to emergencies, outages, and safety issues; document readings and adjustments.
