Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) in Kingston, NY is seeking a facilities technician to support the on-site maintenance team. The role involves repair and upkeep of buildings, equipment, and systems with CMMS documentation, working under the Facility Manager and Chief Engineer, and joining a programmatic training path for safety and operations.

The position requires 1-2 years of related work experience, the ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 feet, and a strong customer-service

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, or carpentry.
• Trade school, union training, military service or college is desirable.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to respond to site within 60 minutes for on-call rotation.
• Requires ability to walk extensively throughout facilities and property sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist the on-site JLL Facilities team in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment.
• Perform general maintenance including carpentry, light HVAC, plumbing and/or painting.
• Complete assigned work orders in CMMS and maintains appropriate service documentation.
• Maintain tools, parts, equipment and supplies in clean and safe conditions.
• Work closely under the direction of Facility Manager and Chief Engineer.
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
• Support on-call or emergency response (rotation).
• Other projects and tasks to be assigned.
