Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) seeks a Facilities Assessment Senior Project Associate to join our Mid-Atlantic Building Science + Infrastructure team in Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on sourcing work, technical leadership, and PM duties for facilities assessment projects with heavy client interaction.

You will mentor junior staff, lead project meetings, prepare reports, and oversee field work across multiple projects while ensuring quality and adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required in a related field.
• 5+ years of related experience with conducting property/facility condition assessments.
• Valid driver’s license required if driving for or on behalf of an ECS subsidiary.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and acquiring work and providing technical leadership and project management for facilities assessment projects.
• Lead client meetings and/or calls to present and discuss report findings and conclusions.
• Oversee preparation and review of reports from junior staff prior to Principal review and provide final sign off where approved.
• Direct field work performed by subcontractors and staff while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of buildings and building systems and experience with data collection.
• Perform property/facility condition assessments and report preparation with senior review as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of ASTM Standard E2018 and applicable building codes.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture (NCARB), or a related field
