Southland Industries, a leading MEP firm, seeks a manager to oversee the mechanical/piping pre-fabrication process in a safe, controlled environment. You will plan, schedule, and direct all in-house fabrication activities.

Collaborate with estimators, engineers, and virtual design specialists to optimize cost-saving opportunities; develop shop schedules; implement quality control and safety programs; mentor staff and maintain supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervisory abilities are essential for directing fabrication teams.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with estimators, engineers, and crews.
• Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, costs and quality.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical/piping construction and fabrication processes.

Responsabilités

• Plan, schedule, and direct all activities related to in-house fabrication.
• Develop shop schedule and ensure projects are completed on time.
• Implement quality control to ensure products meet specs.
• Oversee inventory and maintain related production materials.
• Hire, train, and mentor assembly personnel.
• Maintain safety program compliance and OSHA standards.
• Prepare daily reports and communicate with project personnel.
