Job summary

gpac seeks an experienced Fabrication Shop Supervisor to oversee daily fabrication shop and field mechanical construction activities. You will lead skilled trades teams, ensuring mechanical fabrication and installation work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to quality standards.

Responsibilities include supervising fabricators, pipefitters, welders, and installers; coordinating work with project managers and engineers; and enforcing safety and QA/QC requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical construction or fabrication experience.
• 2+ years in a Foreman, Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping fabrication, mechanical assembly, and/or ductwork.
• Experience in data center, industrial, or commercial mechanical construction preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• High school diploma or GED; trade/technical education preferred.
• Ability to work in both fabrication shop and field environments and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor fabricators, pipefitters, welders, and mechanical installers
• Coordinate daily work assignments, manpower, materials, and equipment
• Oversee fabrication of piping, ductwork, and mechanical support systems
• Support field installation of HVAC, chilled water, condenser water, piping, and related mechanical systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, specifications, and fabrication details
• Coordinate schedules and field activities with Project Managers, engineers, and contractors
• Monitor productivity, workmanship, and QA/QC compliance
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce OSHA and jobsite safety requirements
• Support system testing, commissioning, and project turnover
