Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a Senior Trade Compliance professional to join the International Trade Compliance (ITC) group in a hybrid role based in San Diego, CA, Washington D.C., or another GA office.

The selected candidate will support a portfolio of programs and advise on trade controls to enable compliant international collaboration. This role requires deep knowledge of U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and 8+ years progressively complex experience in import/export administration.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Deep knowledge of import/export administration, licensing principles, and trade controls.
• Demonstrated leadership in organizing, scheduling and coordinating work assignments to meet milestones.
• Ability to develop new concepts and solve complex administrative and technical matters.
• Expertise in U.S. export control laws and regulations and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and obtaining U.S. export authorizations to support international business objectives.
• Collaborating with stakeholders during program reviews to implement effective licensing strategies.
• Advising on potential trade compliance issues and mitigating risk.
• Providing SME support for export control classification determinations and related reviews.
• Managing authorization activity within ITC systems (OCR EASE).
• Maintaining strong collaboration across functions to support export licensing efforts.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in business activities.
